Overview

• Health Authority: NHRA (National Health Regulatory Authority Bahrain) is responsible for licensing and work permits.

  • License Renewal: Annually, requiring a minimum of 60 CME hours and feedback from the HOD.

• Hospitals:

• Preparation: Formulate an up-to-date CV.

• Applications: Many positions are secured through personal contacts and networks. Typically, once a CV is shared with hospital authorities and the candidate is shortlisted, an email and appointment for an interview will be shared.

• Interview:

  • Format: Online, focusing on personality and clinical skills.

  • Panel: Includes HOD, HR, and military personnel.

  • Eligibility: Requires at least 2 years post-fellowship experience with reference letters from current employers.

• Credential Verification: After a successful interview, the respective hospital will send emails and links for DataFlow or QuadraBay verifications from Pakistan.

• Licensing: The licensing process is initiated after successful interviewing and hiring, with the hospital providing necessary links and guidance for the NHRA license application, eliminating the need for an entrance exam.

• Contract: Successful candidates are offered a 2-year initial contract, with the possibility of renewal thereafter.

Visa

• Duration: Up to 6 months from the offer letter to licensing.

• Probation: 4 months before applying for a family visa.
