Structure

• The interview is divided into two panels:

  • HR Panel

  • Consultant Panel (usually includes two consultants)

• The interview duration is approximately 30-40 minutes. 

  • If selected, you will receive an offer letter within 7-10 days.

   • Question: "Briefly describe your background and career."

   • Approach:

     • Start with your medical education and key milestones.

     • Highlight your EM residency, achievements, and distinctions.

     • Explain why emergency medicine became your focus.

2. EM Residency in Pakistan

   • Question: "Share your experience and responsibilities."

   • Approach:

     • Describe your role in managing acute and critical cases.

     • Highlight collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.

     • Explain unique challenges and how you overcame them.

3. Training at Your Institute

   • Question: "Explain the structure and quality of your residency program."

   • Approach:

     • Detail rotations, exposure to diverse cases, and procedural training.

     • Emphasize the academic environment, including journal clubs and presentations.

4. Departmental Systems

   • Question: "Discuss triage, consultant rounds, and academic activities."

   • Approach:

     • Explain the triage system in your ED.

   • Question: "Explain what you aim to achieve through this scholarship."

   • Approach:

     • Discuss how the scholarship will enhance your clinical, academic, and leadership skills.

     • Align your goals with Ireland’s training framework and aspirations to improve EM in Pakistan.

10. Clinical Scenarios

    • Format: You will be presented with two emergency medicine cases.

    • Examples from Previous Interviews:

      • Headache: Subarachnoid Hemorrhage.

      • Abdominal Pain: Mesenteric Ischemia.
