• Part One - entrance exam before the commencement of training

• Yearly Evaluation - annual exam at the end of each academic year

• Part Two - final exit exam for degree

Part One

Curriculum:

• Basic Sciences - Major component

• Clinical - Minor component

Structure: 50 MCQs - 120 minutes or 2 hours

Fee: 5 thousand rupees

Yearly Evaluation 

Time - January each year

Structure:

• Written

  • 50 MCQs - 50 minutes

  • 15 SAQs - 75 minutes

• OSCE

  • Around 15 - 20 stations (3 minutes per station)

• Viva

  • Around 5 stations (5 - 7 minutes per station)

  • Emergency Medicine, Pediatric, Surgery, Radiology, Internal Medicine

Part Two

Eligibility:

• Training - completed

• Workshops - taken

• Rotations - done

• Thesis - approved

• Article - published

Fee:

• Examinations - 25 thousand

• Thesis Defense - 50 thousand

Structure:

• Written

  • 50 MCQs - 50 minutes

  • 15 SAQs - 75 minutes

• OSCE

  • Around 15 - 20 stations (3 minutes per station)

• Viva

  • Around 8 stations (5 - 7 minutes per station)

  • Emergency Medicine, Pediatric, Surgery, Radiology, Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Obs/Gyne, Orthopedic

• Thesis defence

  • Duration - 30 minutes presentation, 30 minutes defense 

  • Panel - supervisor, 2 external reviewer, research lead, conveyer

Note: Need written pass to appear in OSCE, need OSCE pass to sit in Viva
