Eligibility
Examinations
To qualify for supervisorship, candidates must have completed one of the following:
FCPS Emergency Medicine, Medicine, or Surgery
MS/MD Emergency Medicine or an equivalent qualification
FRCEM/MRCEM or other foreign degrees recognized by CPSP
Experience
Applicants are required to have at least 5 years of post-fellowship experience in Emergency Medicine.Â
Those holding the position of Assistant Professor or higher will be given preference.
Note: Exceptions to all requirements are made on a needs basis.

Prospective supervisors must complete four mandatory workshops offered by CPSP.

Research Methodology, Biostatistics & Medical Writing
Life Support Courses
Candidates should also possess certifications in the following life support courses. It's better to have it, though not mandatory.
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS)
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics (ALSO)
Documentation
To apply for supervisorship, the following documents must be submitted to the CPSP's Registration & Research Cell (R&RC):
A completed supervisor data form
Application endorsed and forwarded by the Principal/Head of your Institution
Current appointment letter from your institute or hospital
Detailed information about your work unit, including existing supervisors, faculty, number of beds, and the status of registered trainees
A comprehensive Curriculum Vitae (CV)
A photocopy of your valid PMDC registration certificate, inclusive of all postgraduate qualifications
Certificates from the mandatory workshops
Certificates of completion for all required life support courses
Submission of 50 MCQs with references
Registration
Registration Process: To register as a supervisor, visit the CPSP ePortal and navigate to the 'Supervisor' section where you can access the 'Supervisorship Registration Form'.
Training Initiation: To initiate a new residency program in Emergency Medicine, the department must first obtain CPSP accreditation. This ensures compliance with the standards set forth by CPSP and facilitates the development of a robust training environment.
