Hospital
A 600-bed tertiary facility located in Central Park Housing Society, Lahore.
Features a well-equipped Emergency Department, supported by a 40-bed Medical and Surgical ICU, along with Interventional Cardiology, Nephrology, Neurology, Radiology, and Pathology departments.
Hosts various other departments including General Surgery, Orthopedics, EYE, ENT, Vascular, and Neurosurgery.
Department
The department has 25 beds, a fully equipped Resus Room (USG machine, Ventilator, X-ray), and a Procedure Room.
Established in April 2021 and gained CPSP accreditation in January 2022.
The inaugural batch of trainees started in January 2022.
Operations
Operates independently under the leadership of a Consultant in Emergency Medicine.
Endorsed by a CPSP-approved supervisor.
Departmental shifts are divided into three rotations, encompassing both senior and junior residents.
Teaching
A structured workweek of 48 hours for residents.
Dedicated weekly teaching sessions every Wednesday from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.
Rotations correspond with CPSP curriculum standards.
Performance is assessed via Quarterly Tests by PGME.
Active Skills Lab supervision and successful hosting of numerous national workshops.
Residents are motivated to contribute to research, aided by the Research Committee, and to pursue national and international examinations.
Application
Annual advertising of positions in January and occasionally in June.
Selection criteria include MBBS grades, ER experience, research contributions, and an interview, all overseen by the PGME selection committee.
Benefits for selected Postgraduate Residents (PGRs) include yearly increments, family health insurance, and a monthly stipend.
