Hello, and welcome to my website! I’m Moeed Ahmed, a Higher Specialty Trainee (HST) Emergency Medicine at St. George's Hospital in London. My career in emergency medicine has been a dynamic and fulfilling journey, marked by continuous learning and a passion for making a meaningful impact, and excited about the new challenges and opportunities ahead.

My Educational Path

• Army Burn Hall College (ABHC), Abbottabad: The foundation of my education, where I first embraced disciplined learning in the scenic surroundings of Abbottabad.

• Wah Medical College (WMC): These were formative years, where my journey in medicine began. Initially, I pursued it out of expectation, but I quickly found a genuine passion for the field.

• Aga Khan University Hospital (AKUH), Karachi: A transformative experience, where I delved deeply into emergency medicine. As Chief Resident, I led academic and administrative initiatives, driving process improvements and honing my skills.

• Frimley Park Hospital (FPH): During my time here as Chief Registrar, I made significant contributions to clinical practice. I’ve been actively involved in initiatives like creating chest drain checklists, revising hypertension management guidelines, and streamlining the induction process for locally employed doctors. These improvements have been aimed at enhancing patient care and the overall efficiency of our medical team.

Professional Milestones

• Royal College of Emergency Medicine Fellowship (FRCEM): Recently, I completed my fellowship with the Royal College of Emergency Medicine, solidifying my expertise.

• Fellowship of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Pakistan (FCPS) in Emergency Medicine: Prior to my current role, I earned this fellowship at AKUH, which laid the groundwork for my advanced practice in emergency medicine.

I'm Dr. Nirdosh Rassani, an Emergency Medicine consultant based in Karachi, Pakistan. My journey into the heart of emergency medicine has been a thrilling and transformative adventure. I come from the remote district of Tharparkar, known for its vast deserts and resilient communities. Growing up, I attended government schools and later pursued my medical degree at a government college, driven by a passion to make a difference.

My professional training began at Aga Khan University Hospital in Karachi, a prestigious institution where I honed my skills over five challenging yet exhilarating years. During this time, I had the honor of serving as Chief Resident and was recognized as the Best Resident for two consecutive years, a testament to my dedication and hard work.

Emergency medicine is my calling, and my interests are as diverse as the field. From academic emergency medicine and resuscitation science to evidence-based practices and cutting-edge research, I am deeply committed to advancing our understanding and treatment of critical conditions. I am passionate about airway management, emergency procedures, simulation training, EKG interpretation, point-of-care ultrasound, and the global FOAMed movement, which promotes Free Open Access Medical Education.

I live by the belief that every patient encounter is an opportunity to impact a life forever. Daily in the emergency department brings new challenges and opportunities to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives. I am dedicated to continuous learning, teaching, and pushing the boundaries of what we can achieve in emergency medicine.
