Overview
The European Board Examination in Emergency Medicine (EBEEM) is a two-part exam that assesses a candidate's knowledge, skills, and behaviors necessary for the clinical practice of emergency medicine. Here is a guide to the EBEEM exam in 2024.
Part A Exam
Format: 200 single-best multiple-choice questions
Duration: Five hours (two sessions of two hours, separated by a one-hour break)
Remote Participation: Can be taken virtually from any private place with a stable internet connection
Eligibility Criteria: Candidates must have 18 months of experience in emergency medicine
Application Deadline: July 1, 2024
Exam Date: September 13, 2024 (Visit the EUSEM website for detailed exam dates)
Part B Exam
Format: Eight exam stations (four structured oral examinations and four structured clinical examinations)
Duration: 2.5 hours (June 2024), 2 hours (November 2024)
Remote Participation: Can be taken virtually from any private place with a stable internet connection
Eligibility Criteria: Candidates must have passed Part A and have at least 60 months of experience in emergency medicine
Application Deadlines: April 15, 2024 (for June exam), September 15, 2024 (for November exam)
Exam Dates: June 14-16, 2024, and November 15-16, 2024 (Visit the EUSEM website for detailed exam dates)
