• Equipped for trauma care with facilities like main triage for major trauma, walking triage, minor operating room, dressing room, POP room, and trauma bays.

• Includes a specialized ventilation bay for intubated patients, equipped with essential trauma care amenities.

• Continuous enhancement of structure and facilities to cater to trauma patients.

Primary rotations are at Ruth K.M. Pfau Civil Hospital Karachi, with additional rotations at SIUT and The Indus Hospital.

• Weekly teaching sessions feature faculty and postgraduate discussions on emergency scenarios.

• Diverse assessment tools support learning and skill development, including simulation teachings, workplace-based assessments, bi-annual assessment tests, and a custom logbook.

• Numerous pre-Traumacon workshops annually, focused on emergency care.

• Active faculty encouragement for participation in workshops to broaden emergency medicine expertise.

• Headed by Head of Department Dr. Azer Sheikh.

• Supervision provided by Dr. Beenish Hameed, alongside emergency physicians and specialists dedicated to the ventilation bay.

• Operates on alternate 12-hour shifts within the emergency department.

• Each shift features a team of 8-10 doctors, including a team leader who oversees the shift's operations.

• Team composition includes postgraduates, RMOs, SMOs, and MOs, ensuring comprehensive care and management.
