Overview
Global Fellowship Programme Emergency Medicine (GFP-EM), administered by Health Education England (HEE), aims to advance emergency medicine skills among international doctors.
Eligibility
Experience: 3 years of Emergency Medicine experience
English Competency: Valid OET or IELTS score
Exams: Passed MRCEM SBA (Part 2)
Application
The entire process is typically between 6-8 months.
It begins with a review of all necessary documents.
Applicants then attend interviews typically scheduled between October and November.
Following the interviews, a few hospital placement options are provided to choose from.
Applicants must complete a Trac application.
Confirmation of sponsorship from the Royal College of Emergency Medicine (RCEM) is required.
Completion of the MTI form is the next step in the process.
The only step that incurs a fee is the registration with the General Medical Council (GMC).
Finally, applicants must secure a Government Authorised Exchange visa (Temporary Work, Tier 5).
