Wound Cleaning
- All wounds must be thoroughly washed with soap and water.
- Tetanus Immunoglobulin (TIG) Dosing
- 250 units if the wound is <24 hours old
- 500 units if the wound is >24 hours old
- Routine Vaccination
- Counsel all patients to receive a tetanus vaccine every 10 years
